Departing from the marina, 500 meters away from Bacharéis Charming House, enjoy a sailboat ride with a spectacular view over the city. At the mouth of the Mondego River, past Forte and Cabedelinho beaches, enjoy a glass of Douro white wine, before a charming walk through Figueira da Foz Oceanic Bay.
With the option of anchoring for diving or enjoying the sunset, you can choose a longer tour and sail to Cabo Mondego, or even book an overnight stay on board with your family.
If you choose to discover the different landscapes of our territory, you have at your disposal, at any time, a “Figa”, a special bike from the Figueira da Foz shared bicycle system.
We suggest exploring the region’s network of bike paths on three unique routes full of natural, scenic, and cultural points of interest: the Mondego Route, the Beaches Route, and the Urban Route.

Adventure lovers will not want to miss a tour of the amazing Serra de Sicó, part of the Montejunto-Estrela mountains, between Condeixa-a-Nova and Pombal: starting on the virgin landscape of the valleys of Aldeia de Casmilo and its steep slopes, we’ll visit the imposing limestone buracas- natural and primitive rock shelters. The Terras de Sicó tour includes a visit to the Roman ruins of Conímbriga, one of the most important archaeological sites in the country- Art and History in the heart of Nature.
The Shale Trails are one of the most idyllic settings to discover as a family – the Shale Villages of Cerdeira, Talasnal, Candal, and Trevim. Along mountain paths that flank the clear waters of the Mondego and its countless river beaches, you will discover castles and sanctuaries- marks of Humanity where Nature reigns.
The monumental Bussaco mountain range contains a vastness of exceptional patrimony: the central nucleus formed by the Palace Hotel do Bussaco and the Convento de Santa Cruz (from 1628) are joined by the housing chapels and the curious chapels of Via Sacra do Bussaco, planned in 1644. The proposed route runs along with Ribeira de Paredes, among dense forest and rocky river floor, ending next to waterfalls and natural pools.
The legacy of São Francisco de Assis has ancient roots in Figueira da Foz at least since the 16th century. We propose a visit to the two periods of Franciscan origins in the city. Firstly, the Santo António Church or Mercy Chapel, a temple of the extinct convent, founded in 1527, with its one-of-a-kind 16th-century stalls, tell the story of Santo António’s life in thirteen beautifully painted wooden panels. Secondly, the Church of São Francisco (also known as Church of the Third Order) in which you can appreciate the rich collection of votive images, the primitive "Chapter House" and the nucleus of sacred art.
Since the invasion of Paris by the Nazis in June 1940, Portugal has been the destination of thousands of refugees, mainly of Jewish origin, who wanted to escape terror by migrating to the Americas. On condition that they leave the country quickly, they were temporarily placed in a “fixed area of residence” in the country's main seaside resorts. Follow step-by-step, the routine of the refugees on a summer day in 1940, from the train station to the houses they lived in, through the shops and nightlife spaces they found on their “freedom route”.
Bairro Novo de Santa Catarina was born in 1861 as a project for a “summer district”, equipped with accommodation for various types of bathers, but also with equipment for the comfort and distraction of increasingly demanding visitors – cafes and restaurants. , casinos, shops, bathing establishments, and a tennis club.
